SPS Drama 2021
We are pleased to offer a 2021 drama program for our middle school students. This year's production will look different but will also allow students to explore different areas of theater production that they may not have gotten to explore before.
Students will create their own monologue about someone from or something that was created during the 1960’s to honor our school’s 60th anniversary. Students will research and write their own monologue with the guidance of our drama teachers. Students who wish to perform a song may also work on their solo with Mrs. Keegan to go with their monologue. Students will also have the chance to creatively develop their costumes and set pieces. All students who wish to participate will be included in the final production, no experience necessary.
When: Tuesday afternoons from 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m..
Starting February 23rd (A formal schedule will be distributed once we have a cast list.)
Where: The Middle School Wing
**Depending on the number of students interested, students may not meet in person every week. Once we know how many students are interested we will create a set schedule that meets our social distancing needs. If students are not attending drama in person there will be a virtual meeting and work expectations.
Cost: $60 (If the cost is a financial hardship for any family, please contact Mrs. Senenko.)
Who: Middle School students under the direction of Mrs. Gahan and Mrs. Keegan
The Final Production
Our production this year was created around the popular theater idea that “the show must go on”. We will continue to look at and monitor the COVID-19 guidelines as we move into the spring. Once we know the current restrictions we will share information as to how our performances will be shared (virtually or in person)
If interested please fill out and return the form to Mrs. Gahan by Friday.
Payment must be made on the school store no later than Friday, February 12th.
